Neck and back pains usually occur as a result of two problems: tight shortened muscles that give rise to lack of symmetry in the skeletal system, and weak inhibited muscles that aggravate it. The result is a chronic pain cycle, which gradually begin to involve other structures, tissues and muscles within the system. The Upper Crossed Syndrome - resulting in forward head, shoulder elevation and rounding; and the Lower Cross Syndrome - involving excessive or inadequate curvature and tilted pelvis, are the two most common postural faults found in today’s society. They can both be effectively treated through the Myoskeletal Alignment Massage Technique.
Myoskeletal Alignment Massage typically looks for these hidden stretch patterns and treat them through a combination of deep tissue massage and stretching to treat the hypertonic muscles. Over the past several years researchers have agreed that Manual Therapy is one of the fastest growing industries. People with back pain have seen a significant improvement after receiving myoskeletal alignment massage. Thanks to more pain relief research and hard-working massage therapists, they have discovered more reliable and long-lasting ways to conquer pain for their patients. Myoskeletal alignment massage can help with head pain, neck cricks, rotator cuff injuries, carpal tunnel, scoliosis, lumbago, sciatica, and visceral problems, among other body issues. By receiving myoskeletal alignment massage you can increase your flexibility, improve your posture, and decrease pain throughout your body. The reason why myoskeletal alignment massage works better than other forms of therapy is because it breaks the pain cycles and spasms by combining muscle balancing routines with unique joint-capsule maneuvers.

Charlie Chapman began his search for optimum health after suffering a broken neck injury in a serious automobile accident in 1989. Through his rehabilitation he became more aware of how the body functions, heals and strengthens. He began researching multitudes of articles and books while practicing new ways to implement his return to health. Charlie became so knowledgeable about health and nutrition that those who worked in the gym with him would refer to him as the “Professor”. In 2000 he was certified as a personal trainer through Parrillo Corporations. So successful was he in his endeavor, he made a natural progression into body building and was a runner-up in the National Physique Competition 2002 Blue Grass Classic and competed in several national qualifiers. Having personally experienced the profound effect that nutrition and exercise could have on the body, he began training several other award winning bodybuilders and became a Master Certified Professional Trainer. In pushing his body to new and stronger limits he became more involved in techniques to ease pain, stretch muscles and realign the body. Through his training with the The Freedom From Pain Institute in Oklahoma he became a Certified Myoskeletal Massage Therapist in 2003. In 2009 he received his certification from AFPA (American Fitness Professionals of America). In March of 2013, Charlie received his Medical Massage certification.
Now he is actually a
Master Medical Massage Therapist.
Charlie, “the Professor”, knows the techniques and tools that he has acquired can be put to even better use. He’s made a decision to go beyond his work with athletes and body builders and to share his knowledge and skills with people; families, young and old, healthy and the disabled to improve and help them to healthier and pain free lives.
“The Professor” knows that everyone’s body is different and a diet or exercise regime that works for one individual may not work for another. Charlie is able to provide an overall wellness plan created specifically for each client. He offers support, motivation, encouragement, the knowledge and skills to help anyone accomplish their goals.
